Email Prayer Chain

Juniper Green Parish Church has an Email Prayer Chain system that allows a prayer request to be sent very quickly to many people who have expressed a willingness to pray when asked. The commitment of those praying is what they wish to make it and no-one checks up on who has done what. Someone receiving a prayer request may pray about the concern once and that is the end of their involvement. Others may wish to pray more frequently over a period. That choice is private and personal to the individual.

The way the Prayer Chain works is very simple. Someone with a prayer need such as a sudden illness, family crisis, or whatever, contacts one of the Prayer Team and one email is sent to the Prayer Chain members asking for prayer. No requests are initiated unless those most affected have asked. And whatever is sent out is agreed with whoever has initiated the request.

• Prayers not felt by us are seldom heard by God!
• Prayer is when you talk to God; meditation is when you listen to God!
• Pray with your eyes on God and not on the difficulties!
• The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us but that we will hear him!
• Trouble and perplexity drive me to prayer; prayer drives away trouble and perplexity!
• In the absence of regular prayer the soul languishes without the love of God.

2nd Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Ephesians 3:16-19
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
